January 8th - "Mend-a-Heart Grief Counseling" is available through the Atlanta Human Society for those having to deal with the loss of a beloved pet. Led by a professional counselor on the second Saturday of each month at the Shelter in the administrative area at 11:00 a.m. The cost is $5.00 and no appointment is necessary.January 8th - You are invited to attend a memorial service for Evidence the Zebra at Noah's Ark on Saturday, January 8 at 1:00 p.m. The service will be held outdoors near the Welcome Center and will end with a Memorial Walk to Evidence's habitat.January 11th - Bunny 101 Classes. Calling all new adopters, previous adopters, or anyone interested in adopting or learning more about rabbit care! Our Bunny 101 class covers everything from apple branches to white vinegar. This is what you need to know to make living with a house rabbit easy, healthy and fun! Reservations required. A $5.00 donation for the class covers the cost of handout materials and a healthy treat package for your bunny. The class will be held at the North Georgia House Rabbit Society Shelter. January 13th - Animal Tales Story Time. This interactive program is geared toward preschool age children and features stories, crafts, animal friends, and more! Every child goes home with a coloring book, sticker, and a fun pet-related experience. A $2 donation per child is greatly appreciated to support the animals at the Humane Society of Hall County. Pre-registration is required.January 15th - REMEMBER ME Pet Loss Support by the Gwinnett Humane Society.Discussions of the stages of grief and its effects. Share stories and pictures about your beloved companion. Share with others who are also grieving or have experienced a similar loss in the past.
